Okay, this has to be one of the coolest cars we have...you just don't hear stories like this much any more. The previous owner bought this car NEW when she was 16 years old. She had always wanted a Nova SS with a 327/350, but due to new federal safety regulations (and Ralph Nader) that engine wasn't available in a Nova, So, she settled for a 327/275. She wasn't old enough to sign the loan papers, so her mom did it for her. The car was delivered, but she wanted more speed, so she pulled the original engine (and kept it) and put in a 327 that was bored .30 over (355ci), added slicks in the back and bigger tires in the front and hit the local drive-ins. As she got older, she dumped the slicks and added more conservative tires, and her days at the track ceased. She has enjoyed the car for 48 years and just decided to part with it, and we were lucky enough to be the ones to find it a new loving home. During her years of enjoyment, she added traction bars and beefier shocks and has replaced the original rear end with a 12 bolt that sports 4:56 gears which helped her enjoy the local drag strip. At the same time Hooker headers were also added with a custom exhaust. It still sports the original Muncie 4 speed transmission, which shifts very smoothly. This car has totaled only 18,635 mile since delivery. The interior is original and in beautiful condition. This car runs and drives perfectly. The original block goes to the new owner.
