This 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air is a fine example of a vintage muscle car with a hi-tech heart and only 726 miles since a complete restoration. It begins with a solid two-door post body that has been completely disassembled, then carefully refurbished and refinished throughout. The frame was completely restored as well, detailed and finished in deep Black to both match the cars beautiful exterior finish and to contrast with the immaculately detailed red oxide undercarriage.

The Fawn Beige interior is strictly "62" using all new Cars replacement components, including a brand new headliner and all new tinted glass. A column mounted tach and below dash gauge cluster are correct period add-ons and perfect company for the radio delete dash and floor mounted Hurst shifter.

The hood opens to reveal a custom built 400 small block Cheverolet engine stroked to 409 cubic inches and fitted with Proline aluminum heads, roller rockers and Edlebrock Dual 4 bbl carbs. Its a throughly modern piece that announces its vintage roots through the use of Rams horn exhaust manifolds and polished LT-1 style rocker covers. The installation shows the same workmanship found throughout the rest of this beautiful car. Power passes through a Muncie M22 "Rockcrusher" close ratio 4 speed to a brand new 3.73:1 positraction differential, while exhaust flows through a 2 1/2 inch full length stainless steel system.

The gleaming Black exterior finish is completed with simple bright body side trim, dual chromed mirrors,"Bel Air" quarter panel badges, "409" fender insignia and a set of American Torque Thrust wheels. All bright work is perfect.

In sum, this is a beautifully executed , modified and modernized street machine that pays homage to its factory origins. #1 condition car that would take in excess of 100k to duplicate.
