It is powered by the 350 tuned port injection engine mated to a 4speed manual tansmision with overdrive. 1985 was the first year in 20 years that genuine fuel injection had returned to Corvette. This new L98 engine delivered an increase in horsepower from 205 to 230, a tourque increase from 290 to 330 lb-ft, and all this with better fuel economy.
The interior has saddle leather in real nice shape, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors and A/FM stereo cassette. The carpets are clean and in great shape and there are no signs of excess wear on the driver's seat. This car came equipped with $1800 worth of factory options, (inluding removable transparent roof panels) and has been well taken care of.
In January of 1985 in their "Ten Best" issue, Car and Driver magazine named Corvette to be America's fastest production car at an even 150 mph top speed. Corvette also took top honors in top gear acceleration and tied for best (with Porsche) in roadholding ability.
